Why Is Steam Condensed?

The water molecules inside bottles begin condensing or transform from liquid water to vapor even if there isn't any warmth present. If matter changes from gas to liquid in the bottle, the molecules cover considerably less space and exert less pressure.

Basic Working Principle of Steam Condenser:

Inside a steam condenser there is an influx of cooling water that is constantly flowing from the cooling tower to the condenser and the cooling tower back to the condenser.

When exhaust low-pressure steam is released from the turbine and goes through the condenser the steam (steam) becomes condensed to water. As steam heats up and the heat that is extracted from the steam is transferred through the cooling water that circulates.

There are two kinds of equipment that are installed on the condenser, one is the condensate extract pump, the other one is called the air extractor pump. As the steam is dissolved into water, with the aid of a condensate extraction pump, it is then recirculated back through the steam generator. Working of Steam Condenser

When the steam at low pressure is in contact with cooling water it begins to condense and transforms into water. Requirements of Steam Condensing Plant

1. Condenser:

4. Boiler Feed Pump:

It is a device that is placed between the boiler and hot well. It is responsible for pumping condensate from the well into the boiler. It does this by raising the condensate's pressure above the pressure of the boiler.

5. Air Extraction Pump:

It is a device which is used to remove the steam from the condenser.

6. Cooling Tower:

The tower is the one which holds cold water, and the water is allowed to circulate in the condenser in order to cool the steam.

7. Cooling Water Pump:

The pump that sits between the condenser and cooling tower. It circulates chilled water around the condenser.
