Is it safe to work in cafes?

Mission Statement

I work remotely and usually take my Mac to a cafe. I mostly connect to public Wi-Fi and only recently started thinking about how safe that is. At home, I know my internet is secure. In a cafe, I can't be sure.

It's not about what you’re working on. It's probably not confidential info that someone could profit from. But what about your personal data, payment info, and all that? I wouldn’t want that stuff to get leaked to scammers. There are different tools, like Wi-Fi analyzers https://setapp.com/how-to/best-wifi-analyzer-for-mac. If I remember to use them, they’re helpful in cafes and other places. Maybe this could solve your worries about Wi-Fi.

Honestly, I’ve never worried about that. My work isn’t that important or serious for anyone to steal. I just use public Wi-Fi without any fuss.
