About writingnotes

Unquestionably, one of the most challenging forms of expression is the essay. It calls for the author to be insightful, well-versed in the subject matter, and to write quickly. I've gathered the most crucial details regarding the essay on one page for anyone who must or wants to complete this form.   Essays are reflections in which the author offers his or her personal opinions on a certain subject. They could relate to literary, natural, aesthetic, or philosophical themes. The author provides an overview of the subject before interpreting the occurrence or issue in question in his own unique perspective.   What format should an essay follow?
  • Subjective. You express your own opinions, ideas, and interpretations.
  • Based on associations. You can take the reader on a mental journey while surprising him with associations, mental shortcuts, and the juxtaposition of concepts based on how similar or dissimilar they are.
  • Thought-provoking. Your goal should be to get the reader to reflect on the subject and come to his or her own conclusions.
  • Artful and thoughtful. You demonstrate your mastery of language, your concern for the form and style of communication, and your use of a range of stylistic devices.
  Usually, there are four main types of essays:
  1. Descriptive essays. The author uses basic descriptions to convey a deeper meaning about circumstances, characters, or things. Such texts typically engage readers' emotions, and their goal is to help them draw conclusions about the material they have read.
  2. Narrative essays. The story must be based on actual experience, and the reader is guided to their own conclusions by the story.
  3. Expository essays. An analysis of a certain topic using facts, figures, and citations to numerous research and papers is typically included in the text. In other words, facts are more significant.
  4. Argumentative essay. This type's name speaks for itself; it requires arguments and counterarguments on a given topic. If you are interested in how to write a text of argumentative essay, you can read here in more detail.
  Humans engage in argumentation frequently and at a very important level. It can be used for a number of things, including proving one's own arguments, dispelling doubts (i.e., seeking the truth), and solving problems. Sometimes we make the decision to do something in order to get the respect of the recipient or to advance in a particular environment. That is why it is important to know how to write an argumentative essay and how to distinguish different types of arguments.   Logical arguments take the form of two types of reasoning, deductive or inductive:
  • The first one puts into practice the principle of going from the general to the specific: the sender first communicates general truths before drawing specific inferences from them.
  • In the second, a generalization from the specific is implied. In this kind of argumentation, facts are initially provided before general truths are deduced from them. Thus, general truths can be inferred from the information given.
  There are many different ways to make a factual argument. These are in order of importance:
  • Describing facts;
  • Using figures;
  • Quoting statements from witnesses or participants in events;
  • An argument supported by the opinion of a person or group of people is known as an argument from authority. An authority can be a subject-matter specialist, a well-known and reputable person, or someone who has grown in popularity, like a celebrity;
  • Arguments based on similarity, or evaluating a case in light of the features of another, resolved, and well-known case;
  • The credibility and potency of the proof are considerably boosted when examples are used. This style of argumentation presents abstract issues in a provocative, illustrative manner, which helps the audience understand the message. Examples are frequently drawn from experiences that the sender has had firsthand or learned about. Anecdotes are frequently employed in this capacity as well. Recently, they have been incorporated into sermons rather frequently.
  Keep in mind that there are many different communication methods and contexts where argumentation is used. It is used in a variety of spheres of life, including politics, the legal system, education, business, and marketing. Therefore, it is important to train your argumentation skills, for example, through writing this type of essay as an argumentative essay.
