Purpose

Zen Garden is a non-toxic gaming community. We are growing a forest of strong, not obnoxious, players. If you're always striving to improve and are looking for people to support you instead of tearing you down, you're in the right place.

Primetime

This server is most active from early evening through late night, US Eastern time, and on weekends. Most of us work during US business hours, so don't be surprised if it's a little quiet then. Drop by #general and introduce yourself.

Games

At the moment, the most popular games are: Rocket League, Hearthstone, COD: MW, and Destiny 2. However, most of us would rather play with friends than stick to one game, so feel free to make suggestions (especially free-to-play games) or check out the #free-games channel for ideas.

Types of Members

• Seedling - Once you accept the Code of Conduct in #rules, this is you. Talk to some other trees and get planted in the community.
• Sapling - Members who have stuck around and participated in more than a couple events. They are kind and welcoming toward others.
• Standard - Members who have grown in this community for a season or more. They are examples to follow, and can help you grow.
• Canopy - Leaders in the community. They regularly organize events and support newer members.
• Bonsai - Community elders who are here to help you learn new games, develop your skills, and provide mentorship.

Code of Conduct

1. We do not engage in or tolerate hate speech, including, but not limited to: racist, homophobic, transphobic, or sexist language.
2. We enthusiastically encourage all players. Trash talking opponents is discouraged. Putting down other members is completely unacceptable.
3. We strive to learn and improve, but attitude is more important than proficiency.
4. We play in the spirit of the game. Griefing and unsporting behavior is unacceptable.
5. If any member observes inappropriate behavior by another member (or guest of a member), it is their responsibility to inform that member (or guest’s sponsor) that their behavior does not meet our Code of Conduct and give them an opportunity to rectify it.
